Photos from the Eurostar press event on 7 October 2010 when the cross-channel operator announced plans to buy 10 Siemens Velaro trains and refurbish its existing Alstom fleet.

A mock-up of the new train was exhibited in Hyde Park beside the Albert Memorial. Included in the pictures are Secretary of State for Transport Philip Hammond (blue tie) and Eurostar chief executive Nicolas Petrovic.
