Gallery 233: East London line phase 2 route visit

The gallery shows latest progress on the East London line phase 2 route, which is due to open as part of the London Overground network in December 2012.

Birse Metro is building a new 1.3km stretch of railway which will join up the phase 1 East London line route with the South London line near Old Kent Road.

A railway bridge will be built over Surrey Canal Road and provision for a new station is being provided by constructing a concrete box (for the entrance and ticket hall) next to the bridge.
